Scotty Keogh on the Harley-Davidson V-ROD Destroyer got the season off to a great start, winning the Competition Bike trophy in the first round of the new season at the 2011 FUCHS Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway.
The V-ROD had a few issues early with the bike trying to go left into the wall but new crew chief Shane Brown got that sorted out swiftly and Scott Keogh on the Players Racing Harley went on to qualify 5th in the field.
After a long day of good racing accompanied by a few bye runs due to broken competitors, we found ourselves in the final against 2-time consecutive Australian Nationals winner, Corey Scholes.
We won in the final against Corey, broke his winning streak and set a new milestone as the first V-ROD to win in Competition Bike history.
